Capula has been selected by National Grid as one of its key strategic suppliers on their RIIO-T2 Light Current Equipment (LCE) Framework, providing specialist support in delivering essential improvements and upgrades to their national critical substation infrastructure.
This multi-year framework is for the design, manufacture, testing and commissioning of LCE to the highest cyber security standards for National Grid’s high voltage substations and will see Capula listed as a strategic supplier for three lots, which include protection and control solutions.
Commenting on the project Martin Payne, Capula Transmission and Distribution Business Manager, said: ‘We have supported National Grid for more than 25 years and have designed and delivered a number of National Grid type registered solutions that have played a key part in the delivery of a number of their critical infrastructure projects as part of RIIO-T1.
Being selected for their RIIO-T2 Framework is testament to our investment in a new suite of Protection solutions and the continued development of our people, technologies and systems. We are really excited to be continuing to support National Grid in their journey to build a world leading, future ready electricity transmission system.’
