Learning and Development

At Imtech we recognise how important it is to guide and support our people throughout their careers with us. This has a positive impact on individuals’ performance, the quality of our work and overall, the success of our business. Learning and development are fundamental to ensuring our people are confident, capable and have the right skill set for their role.

We encourage our employees to continuously evaluate themselves and openly discuss their performance and learning needs with their manager, in conjunction with an annual Personal Development Review.  We want our people to grow, both professionally and personally, and to reach their full potential.

To ensure our employees’ professional knowledge and understanding is current we hold regular workshops, courses and toolbox talks that cover areas such as:

• Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality training
• Business and customer understanding
• Professional and technical development
• Leadership and management
• Personal effectiveness
• IT skills.

We offer tailored, work-based skills training for our apprentices and trainees, which is often in conjunction with supporting their achievement of technical qualifications, such as HNDs, HNCs and ONCs.

We are also supportive of those employees wishing to study professional qualifications, including Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, and to individuals who are already qualified and wish to achieve Chartered status in their particular professional body.
