Imtech offers a wide range of programmes for various disciplines and levels of trainee including apprentices, interns and graduates.
All of our training programmes are work-based, as we believe that practical application and working alongside experienced people are excellent ways to learn and be taught. We also ensure that, where necessary, this is supported by the opportunity to gain skill-centric formal qualifications.
Learning from others is fundamental to any trainees’ development. We encourage all trainees to find a mentor to help, guide and advise them. We often find these early relationships develop into long term career support.
We have a structured programme for our Mechanical and Electrical Apprentices which starts by ensuring they are properly inducted into our business and understand where they fit within it. They immediately work on site, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and learning from their experienced colleagues, alongside studying formal technical qualifications at college.
We also have an Advanced Apprentice Programme for those that wish to further their formal education and qualify to the next stage of their chosen discipline, for example, HNDs or HNCs in subjects including Engineering and Quantity Surveying.
A Year in Industry
Imtech works with a number of leading Universities to offer one year work placements as part of construction industry focused degrees. We ensure that undergraduates taking part in these placements have a dedicated programme to gain valuable experience in the workplace, and provide an insight to the industry.
Graduate Development Programmes
Our Graduate Development Programme is open to all graduates wishing to make their career within Imtech. Although good academic results are necessary, we want graduates who have the ability to work well within teams, are confident in themselves and have instinctive understanding of client needs.
We offer a programme that will give graduates an excellent understanding of our business, with planned placements to ensure they develop their skills, along with technical and business training. They have the opportunity to work alongside our top managers, so they can gain vital experience and learn from people who are highly respected not only within our business but also within our industry.
