Dalkia on call for a safer Suffolk

As an electrical engineer, working across Suffolk, Dalkia’s Steve Shelley (pictured), always has safety at the forefront of his mind as he maintains the electrical systems in schools, offices and emergency service buildings, including fire stations, to the highest standards.

In July 2023, the Imtech group company rebranded to Dalkia.

For the last three years Steve, who has worked for Dalkia for 16 years, has been keeping Suffolk safe in more ways than one as a part-time Firefighter for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), and we were delighted to receive a letter and a plaque from SFRS thanking us for supporting Steve in this key role for his local community.

I feel honoured and privileged to have the skills, training and abilities to help people when they need it most. Especially when it’s in the community in which I live.

We feel exceptionally proud to receive this accolade and we will continue to support the partnership between ourselves, Steve and SFRS and work together for a safer Suffolk,” commented Stacey Sallows, Account Director, Dalkia.

Being a part of the fire service has been an ambition of mine since being a young lad. I am extremely proud to be a firefighter even though the time commitment and training can at times be tough. I’m also very grateful for the continued support and understanding of Dalkia, which allows me to continue this rewarding work,” commented Steve Shelley.
