Nottingham Trent University
Nottingham Trent University is one of the largest universities in the UK, with around 28,000 students split over three campuses. A £70 million refurbishment and development project was undertaken in 2005, regenerating some of the university’s largest and oldest buildings at the City, Clifton and Brackenhurst sites.
As the appointed contractor for the mechanical and electrical services installation, we played a key role in restoring and enhancing the existing and new buildings. This included lighting, power, external lighting, CCTV, security system, fire alarm, IT cabling, ventilation system, solar and low pressure hot water heating, to meet the new high tech requirements of the university. Working closely with Bowmer & Kirkland, Arup Consultants and Hopkins Architects, we also developed the design coordination for the project.
