Imtech Success in Littleport Project
Imtech has been awarded a £6.1m project, by construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall, to undertake the mechanical and electrical design and build at Cambridgeshire’s latest new education and leisure complex in Littleport.
The team has begun the design on this phased project for Cambridgeshire County Council, consisting of construction of an Early Years setting, primary school, three storey secondary school, special school and a community leisure facility on the same site. Phase one, Littleport Academy and the special school, will open in time for the start of the 2017 academic year.
Second and third project phases include the construction of the new primary school which is expected to be completed by 2020 and an extension to the main Academy to allow for future pupil intakes.

The team’s focus will be on designing and delivering a project that achieves its’ targeted BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.’
