NHS relies on Dalkia to make a difference

Dalkia has secured two new NHS contracts, with a combined base value in excess of £18m.

In July 2023, the Imtech group company rebranded to Dalkia.

The agreements are to maintain 75 properties on behalf of the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) and Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT). Providing specialised expert support, HPFT deliver mental health and learning disability services to all ages whilst HCT provide community services for every stage of life.

Dalkia will be responsible for a variety of estates services including mechanical and electrical maintenance, energy focused asset management and also fabric and grounds maintenance.

Understanding the Trusts objectives and demonstrating how Dalkia intended to provide a better experience for patients was a key factor in their appointment. Commencing on 1st April the Trust will see Dalkia self-deliver a high proportion of the awarded services, underpinned by their leading technology MI platform, Aurora.

Throughout the tender process Dalkia demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the Trusts objectives, building their service delivery model with a focus on quality, compliance, self-delivery and innovation.

Providing, and acting on, accurate and real time and predictive information will ensure the Trust and Dalkia’s front line teams can optimise the estates performance and prevent any potential non-availability of these critical facilities.

Noel Clancy, Dalkia’s Managing Director commented “Healthcare is a key primary sector for Dalkia and our wider group and we are delighted to add this partnership with HPFT and HCT to our existing NHS portfolio. We believe there is an opportunity to improve the service levels currently provided by the private sector in the NHS and we aim to give this client and their patients the service, care and attention they need and deserve. We look forward to building an exceptional relationship with both Trusts over the coming years.

Dean Raffles, Head of Operations – Estates & Facilities, Hertfordshire NHS Trust commented “Working in partnership with Dalkia, we look forward to working together and succeeding by delivering a better experience to our service users and trust sponsors.
