Michael Booth has over 16 years’ experience leading finance in the energy and facilities management sectors. Beginning his career at KPMG, he progressed through a series of technical finance roles within industry promoted in tenure at Engie (formerly Cofely) culminating in a CFO appointment.
Michael brings a solid track record in successfully driving acquisitions & divestments, business restructuring and managing systems implementation. At Engie Group he was responsible for the Olympic Park District Energy Investment totalling £100m+ as well as the acquisition of Balfour Beatty Workplace (£600m turnover) and Utilicom (District Energy). Michael became Finance Director of the world’s largest real estate and investment firm, CBRE in 2014 before joining Imtech in 2015 where he steered the company through an MBO and subsequent divestment to EDF Energy. Since, he has rolled out ERP systems and business improvement initiatives company-wide as well as streamlining a high-performing finance function.
