Dalkia to deliver M&E at Royal Oldham Hospital

Dalkia has been selected as IHP MEP delivery partner for the mechanical, electrical and public health services for the Royal Oldham Hospital Phase 4a for The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

In July 2023, the Imtech group company rebranded to Dalkia.

The project being delivered by IHP (a VINCI Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine alliance) and secured via the Procure22 Framework, will see the construction of a four-storey extension to the main hospital building providing two 24 bed wards and roof top plantroom, along with future expansion space to accommodate new critical care and endoscopy facilities. The building is being constructed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

This project follows on from recently completed work by Dalkia who carried out a number of energy performance solutions across the site including a new CHP and heat network, part of which will serve this project.

We are delighted to have secured the Royal Oldham Hospital Project with our construction partners IHP. The development will showcase our MMC, Digital and Net Zero Carbon expertise in healthcare and create new facilities at the hospital to support and benefit the local community.

A team of engineers, including local apprentices, will commence work on site in August 2022 and during the project delivery Dalkia, in conjunction with IHP, are looking to provide work experience opportunities to T Level Students at Oldham College.
