10 Hammersmith Grove
The refurbishment of Development Securities’ building at 10 Hammersmith Grove, West London plays an important role in the regeneration of Hammersmith. The works during the first phase of the development comprise 110,000 sq ft of prime office space as well as 6,000 sq ft of cafés, restaurants and public space, with completion in July 2014. Working alongside main contractor Wates, Imtech has delivered the full MEP package and life safety systems.
70 Mark Lane, London
Situated in Central London, 70 Mark Lane is a 23,200m2 commercial development comprising 15 storeys of offices, ground floor retail units and a single basement level. The building features large enclosed south facing terraces on three upper floors with panoramic views of London.
We took a new approach from day one by utilising a tablet as an integral tool throughout this mechanical and electrical installation project. Predominately focussing on the pre-construction phase, using 3D images on the tablet meant the team effectively de-snagged the installation prior to off-site fabrication and subsequently, installation on-site.
Technical Facilities Management
British Film Institute
The British Film Institute (BFI) is the lead body for film in the UK, connecting audiences to the widest choice of British and World cinema. Its venues include BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX (Britain’s largest cinema screen), the BFI National Archive at Berkhamsted and film storage facilities in Warwickshire.
As the BFI’s technical services partner, we maintain its diverse portfolio of buildings and venues. Through a meticulously planned preventative and reactive maintenance regime, we ensure that all systems work to the utmost efficiency and, in turn, that the numerous events and screenings run smoothly.
Butterfield Business Park
The Easter Group
Butterfield is an 85-acre business and technology park capable of accommodating up to 93,000m² of low density, low impact development in a parkland setting. It offers a selection of purpose-built offices, as well as customised ‘design and build’ solutions.
We undertook the design and installation of mechanical, electrical and public health services for the business park. It was the first office development in the UK to incorporate a passive heating and cooling ventilation system utilising earth ducts, facilitating a sustainable, non-electric, zero-energy, passive geothermal system that pre-heats the buildings’ fresh air intake.
BSkyB New Horizons Court
The refurbishment of New Horizons Court in Brentford provided BskyB with three office buildings for its executive, administration and specialised production teams within the 16,000 m² development.
We co-ordinated and installed the mechanical and electrical engineering services within all three buildings. They are based around active chilled beams, which also have heating coils. The beams are supplied with chilled water and low pressure hot water, via risers, from chillers with free-cooling capability and boiler plant located in roof-top plant rooms.
City Walk in the centre of Leeds is a modern six-storey office building providing 7000m² of open plan layout to each floor. The high specification block is currently multi-let with tenants including Jacobs Babtie, Trillium and the Secretary of State.
We were selected early in the development stage to develop cost plans and designs for the mechanical and electrical installation. Following feasibility studies the plans were refined to ensure high-quality, cost effective installation. The project was built to budget and within the original construction programme.
Fitzroy House, Mayfair
Fitzroy House is a prestigious six storey development of sought after office suites. It is located in Mayfair in London, home of exclusive shopping and the capital’s largest concentration of luxury hotels and restaurants.
We were awarded the contract for the installation of mechanical and electrical services to the development. This included chilled water, heating, air handling unit plant and condensers, integration of light fittings, contemporary fitted sanitaryware, building management system, PIR sensor programmable lighting and the security system.
Experian Office Development
Experian’s offices, located at the thriving NG² business park development in Nottingham, are an expansive 8000m² complex over three floors with an extensive features including conference facilities and an atrium.
Working initially in a consultancy capacity, we developed the cost plans and designs for the mechanical and electrical installation. We were able to reduce the required plant space and in turn reduce the overall build cost, helping enable Experian to achieve project completion within budget
