General Overview

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Aware of Health & Safety, COSHH and use of Risk & Method statements
  • Confident communicator at all levels
  • Fully competent with the requirements of a cleaning role and responsibilities as a cleaner
  • Experience of carrying out a similar role (Hotel experience an advantage but not essential)
  • Reliable and always arrives for work on time with a customer focused attitude
  • Logical approach to problem solving and not afraid to challenge and make recommendations in the appropriate way
  • Ability to work alone as well as working as a member of a team
  • Discreet and honest
  • Must hold a current Driving License
  • Any other duties that may be required and which are considered by the line manager to be consistent with the grade and the general responsibilities of the post and in line with the job profile.

Primarily based at EDF Energy’s premier training centre in Somerset, the role demands a customer centric attitude to ensure all guests are delivered a truly excellent experience whilst visiting a stunning Grade one listed building. The candidate will assist the management team in the provision of the service levels as agreed with the EDF facilities management team.

Complexity:  As this is a customer focused role, it may include dealing with challenging client requests, which must be dealt with in a diplomatic and tactful manner. It is important that there is a good understanding of the responsibilities and the mission of the business which should help the candidate remain focused in the priority and importance of issues raised. Excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to manage several responsibilities at once are desired attributes.
