We are looking for an enthusiastic & experienced engineer to join our existing Energy and Industry team to perform all aspects of E,C & I design and implementation. The role is designing electrical and control systems primarily focused on cabling, MCCs, Drives & Controls, Switchgear, PLC’s and related EC & I equipment within the thermal and hydro power generation sector. The role will require the ability to undertake site surveys, develop electrical engineering solutions for cabling and the above detailed equipment, prepare, review and check necessary calculations and designs when working with others whilst following Capula’s procedures. The work will involve travel with the possibility of some periods away at customer sites carrying out the surveys and designing solutions collaboratively with the customer. Identified sites are in north Wales, Yorkshire and Scotland.
As a panel wire person you must have at least five years industry experience and able to work as an effective member of an electrical panel build, installation and test team. You must be able to read electrical schematic drawings and manage your time to successfully complete all assigned tasks within agreed timescales. You will be a member of a wider T&D Delivery team and as such you at times be working on sites within England and Wales. At times you must be flexible with your working hours to ensure project deadlines are met and have a can do attitude to supporting the changes required to improve the way we work.

We are looking for an Enthusiastic Senior Engineer to join our existing T&D team to perform all aspects of implementation of Substation Control Systems (SCS); from design through to installation and commissioning on site. Suitable candidate must be able to communicate effectively with the customer, have the ability to interpret customer requirements (including schedules, drawings etc.), have an understanding of system engineering design and be prepared to be involved in and eventually lead site visits for the purpose of survey and installation & commissioning work (including the preparation of associated risk evaluation/method statements). This position would suit someone who has a good grounding in systems engineering and enjoys working in an engineering environment, who is keen to work on site and become involved in all aspects of a project and is keen to learn and develop new skills as part of an experienced and committed team.
Capula has a portfolio of systems contracts to be delivered to major clients within the Nuclear Industry, some integrating with existing C&I systems, some stand alone and some greenfield. With cumulative values of several £Ms the contracts include a range of full turnkey solutions based generally upon PLC/SCADA technology and including hardwired/logic based safety systems. Some contracts also include site installation and cabling etc. Based upon world class products the contracts cover Requirements Definition, Design, Substantiation, Implementation, Testing, Installation, Commissioning and the ongoing support.
Modification of an existing control systems held under support contracts and project work. The PLCs are usually Rockwell but SCADA is Rockwell or Wonderware InTouch from requirements capture and design, to commissioning and handover. Additional system technology includes Siemens PLC/SCADA. This role is predominantly based at our office out of our Westlakes Office, Cumbria, with remote working opportunities but will require periods of working at our UK customers sites.

The ideal candidate will be involved in the preparation and carrying out of servicing, maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis of VFC systems in accordance with customer requirements and applicable procedures.
The role will be to join the existing OI management team and be part of the development and configuration team for OSIsoft PI for a leading client. The work will be predominantly home based as our client is international, with work in the office as required to meet our business needs. The right candidate will report direct to the OI Business Manager, with the role requiring previous experience in software development and OSIsoft PI configuration, integration and architecting.
